  1. Founder · Software Studio

    Roga Digital

    2021 — Present · Vancouver Island, BC, Canada

    End-to-end software for businesses: product strategy, systems architecture, full-stack web development, AI integration, and ongoing maintenance. Selected clients include TELUS, E&EO, CopyCleanse, Lot Logistics, and EzTripr. Engagement formats range from short scoped builds to multi-year fractional partnerships.

    • Lead architect on TELUS TechCentral — multi-tenant operations platform launched April 2026, now with 2,500+ active users and hundreds of daily actives.
    • Awarded the follow-on contract for Summit — overhauling TELUS's training, mentorship, and credential-certification system from the ground up. Launching 2027.
    • Designed and shipped LLM-backed features in production (retrieval, structured output, evaluation pipelines) for client tools, including TC Tools — an AI-assisted content toolkit inside TechCentral.
    • Maintain and operate live software for clients across telecom, education, logistics, and home services.

  2. Web Developer (Co-op)

    Vancouver Island University

    Apr 2022 — Sep 2022 · Nanaimo, BC

    Designed and built the VIU Career Outlooks tool — a full-stack web app helping prospective students explore career paths, integrating real-time labour-market data from the Government of Canada.

    • Led architecture and delivery from blank repo to production deploy on Vercel.
    • Built a Node/Express scraping backend and a Nuxt proof-of-concept before settling on SvelteKit for the production UI.
    • Tool remains in active use by VIU students.

  3. Founder / CEO

    MossAway Services Inc.

    Dec 2017 — May 2023 · Victoria, BC

    Founded and grew a home-services company from scratch. Built the website and a CallRail + Zapier automation pipeline that handled quoting, scheduling, and customer follow-up — the system was responsible for 100% of the company's leads, fully organic.

    • Awarded the Better Business Bureau Torch Award for Trust & Integrity (2019).
    • Built a mobile quoting tool for partner companies — boosted closing rate by 30%.
    • Sold/wound down operations in 2023 to go full-time on software.

If you think I'm a fit for a role, tell me about the role. A lot of what reaches me opens with “we may have an opportunity that matches your profile” and stops there. There's nothing in a message like that for me to weigh, so I'm not able to give it a useful answer.

Include this and you'll hear back

  • Who you are — Your name, your company, and whether you represent them directly or work as an agency.
  • Where the work happens — Remote, hybrid, or on-site — and which time zone the team works in.
  • The role itself — Title, team, scope, and what I would actually own.
  • Compensation — A real range, in a named currency.
  • Terms and benefits — Employment type, contract length where it applies, and what is included.

Most of the recruiters I've enjoyed working with already lead with this. And if part of it is confidential at this stage, say so and share what you can — an honest partial picture is far more useful to me than a vague one. The aim isn't to add friction. It's to make the first exchange substantive enough that we can both tell quickly whether a conversation is worth having.
